Learning Integrations is an Occupational Therapy practice providing individual and group evaluation and treatment for children and their families. Learning Integrations was founded by Laurie Chuba and has been serving the special needs community since 2001. Its primary focus is to equip children with the foundational skills needed to live full, productive lives. In addition to direct occupational therapy services, Learning Integrations also supplies therapeutic games, toys, and equipment to promote children's development. Laurie is the founder of Learning Integrations. She received her degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Illinois, specializing in Pediatrics. Laurie served as the Director of OT at Illinois State University Laboratory School where she provided evaluation and treatment of children in early childhood through high school programs, as well as supervising OT and Special Education clinical work for university students. She worked in private practice for several years prior to establishing Learning Integrations. Laurie is a member of several professional organizations and certified through the National Board of Occupational Therapy (NBOT). Continuing educational training has focused in the areas of sensory integration, handwriting improvement, and social skills with a focus on working with children on the autism spectrum.
